Young Chris talks Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Watch the Throne"

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

Before the untimely demise of Roc-A-Fella Records, Young Chris was predicted as the future of the label. The way things looked, at the time, Jay-Z would likely stop recording albums and Kanye West would probably leave for a bigger label. In due time, all of this happened.

Three years have passed since Young Chris and the team were a part of the same label. During this period, some of the former members have remained loyal. However, some have gone completely against Jay-Z. But, in the end, Jay-Z remains unfazed by this.

Jay-Z and Kanye West have remained close after the breakup of the crew. West has focused more on his G.O.O.D. Music and the media has been all over Jay-Z's Roc Nation. Both are dominant forces in the rap game and they decided to team up. The two rappers, finally equals, have decided to release an album together, Watch the Throne.

Several rappers have given their opinion on the album, now including Young Chris. Yesterday, Young Chris talked about the album. He jokingly said the two rappers were cheating by coming together the way they have. However, he went on to say the album will be a classic album remembered for years to come. Chris went on to wish his big homies the best of luck.

Young Chris talks Damon Dash's influence

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

Young Chris was among the many rappers upset when Jay-Z and Dame Dash split up. Over the years, the two had been a united front and they helped many people become successful. Young Chris looked to both men for inspiration. But, when it was time to choose, he chose Jay-Z.

At the time, the feud was very high profile. As a result, Dame Dash had negative things to say about the entire Roc-A-Fella camp. It still did not mean that the remaining guys did not have love for their other CEO. Even years after the split, some remains of the beef still exist.

Recently, Young Chris spoke about the way things used to be with the old crew. He compared the Roc to the 1996 Chicago Bulls because they all had rings. Chris said Jay-Z helped him in many ways, but he did not give as much, he taught more. But, Dame Dash gave a lot to Young Chris and he said that Dame influenced him more than anyone during that period of time.

Young Chris helps DJ Drama and Don Cannon end feud

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

A few years ago, DJ Drama and Don Cannon were business partners, responsible for putting together the Gangsta Grillz mixtapes. Young Chris, on the other hand, was predicted as the future of the Jay-Z-led Roc-A-Fella Records. But, soon DJ Drama and Don Cannon had a falling out and Jay-Z dismantled the Roc.

For a while, DJ Drama, Don Cannon, and Young Chris had no association with each other. But, with Chris needed a new place to call home, he had to fend for himself. The Young Gunz were no more, so he hit the mixtape scene. Soon, he would meet DJ Drama and Don Cannon.

Recently, Young Chris decided to do his own Gangsta Grillz mixtape with DJ Drama. Drama heard some of Young Chris' work and he was very impressed. Around the same time, he had decided to make peace with Don Cannon. After Don Cannon heard Young Chris, he decided to put the beef to rest and work with DJ Drama to put together Young Chris' Gangsta Grillz release.

While the duo has united for Young Chris' project, DJ Drama said they have been communicating for a little while and decided to make things official after hearing his work. Now, Don Cannon will officially be a part of the Gangsta Grillz series again.
