Nicki Minaj talks Debut Single

For the past year, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding the newest female rapper, Nicki Minaj. As a member of Lil Wayne's Young Money crew, she has fame simply by association. Last year, the crew had to follow Wayne's lead. All they had to do was stand by him, but this year, they will have to fend for themselves. Lil Wayne had planned to step out of the limelight, but not the way that New York State decided that he should. The next year will see Lil Wayne behind bars.

With Lil Wayne out of commission, it will be up to the members of the Young Money label to hold the crew down. Ever since last fall, Nicki has been talking about her debut album. As it currently stands, her album will not be released until after Drake's. But, the label hopes to get a single from everyone out and into the radio waves. Knowing this ahead of time, Nicki Minaj has been recording and she has picked the lead single from her album.

When describing this single, Nicki Minaj said that it will be "massive." She is expecting to have one of the most-impressive debut singles ever. Nicki Minaj is promising a classic single that will only be a tiny portion of a classic album, but only time will tell. Speaking on the song, Minaj said that it will be "the f*cking bomb." There is no set release date for this single, but it will be released sometime before the official start of Spring 2010.
