Ghostface Killah sues Universal Music Group

Wu-Tang Clan star, Ghostface Killah is taking a stand and fighting the system. Ghostface Killah has filed a lawsuit against the parent company of Def Jam, Universal Music Group. The company has held 25% of the group's profits from them.

While Universal continues to state they retain 50% of the profits made by Wu-Tang, they only retain 25%. Ghostface Killah has filed a suit to gain back the extra 25% Universal Music Group is witholding.

Not only is Ghostface Killah fighting a contract violation with his record label, he is also battling Jack Urbont. Urbont is suing the rapper over the "Iron Man Theme" song. He claims Ghostface used the instrumental without his consent.

Ghostface Killah helps inspire New Beer

A new beer from Colorado has dubbed itself the "Ghostface Killah" beer. The beer is made by a company named Twisted Pine. Already, the beer has been nicknamed as the hottest beer this side of hell.

A representive from Twisted Pine said they reached out to Ghostface about being a part of the promotion. However, they were not able to get in contact with the rapper. Twisted Pine would have liked to enter a partnership with Ghostface.

Not only was the beer inspired by Ghostface Killah the rapper, but also the movie character. Mystery of Chessboxing is the film which has given life to the rapper and the beer.

Album Preview: Raekwon - "Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang"

Raekwon plans to release the follow-up to his 2009 album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Part II later this year. Towards the end of last year, Rae announced his latest album, Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang, late last year.

Over the past few months, Raekwon has been working on putting the new album together. Last year, Raekwon said he wanted Nas on his album and they had reached an agreement. The only thing that stopped this from happening was Nas' schedule.

Nas' schedule was clear for Raekwon's latest album, as he landed a feature.

Ghostface Killah announces New Album, "The Apollo Kids"

Following the release of his last album, Ghostface Killah announced he would release a new album each year. In the fourth quarter of 2010, Ghostface Killah is back with his ninth studio album.

Known for his wacky album titles, Ghostface will also keep this feature going. Last year, he gave us Ghostdini: Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City. This year, he will be offering the title, The Apollo Kids.

Earlier this year, Ghostface, along with the Wu-Tang Clan, released the Wu Massacre album. Ghostface has used that work as inspiration for his solo album. This solo album, which is titled, The Apollo Kids, will be released on December 14.

The album will be a release off Def Jam.
