DMX has recorded Full Album since Prison Release

When he was released from prison, DMX hit the ground running. He said he was focused on re-gaining his position in the game. DMX has been a free man for a little over a month. This week, DMX performed in Texas and Scarface was his surprise guest.

Still in Texas, DMX spoke with Dallas' 97.9 FM. During his interview, DMX told them he was done with his new album. While he has recorded a new album, DMX has no title. Not only is DMX lacking a title, he is also lacking a label to release it through.

When he was asked which label the album would be released through, DMX said he cannot say yet. Back in July, DMX said he was contacted by Maybach Music. This was denied by Rich Ross, but he did say he would love to sign him.

Scarface is free from prison, recording New Music

After nearly one year in prison, Scarface is a free man. The legendary rapper was sent to jail in October. He was sent to the Montgomery County Jail after he failed to pay child support.

It was said that Scarface was facing four different child support cases. Outside of facing four child support cases, the veteran emcee has bigger issues. Scarface is also facing federal charges.

Scarface had been working on his album, The Habit, which was to feature Drake, John Legend, and others. It was confirmed today Scarface was released. Now a free man, Scarface is currently working on this new album.

Gucci Mane - "Lil Friend"

The 1983 film, Scarface, has had a lasting effect on hip hop. Several songs, and rap names, have been inspired by the film and star, Al Pacino. Gucci Mane is among the rappers inspired by Scarface.

Gucci Mane's new song reflects this. His latest song is called "Lil Friend," likely copying the "say hello to my little friend" line.

Album Preview: T.I. - "No Mercy"

After coming out of prison, T.I. re-entered the spotlight with his single, "I'm Back." It was the lead single for his properly-titled album, King Uncaged. But, as he was uncaged, the king found himself in trouble that landed him back in jail.

Upon learning he had to return to jail, T.I. changed the name of his album to No Mercy. Since he let his fans down twice, T.I. felt as if he did not deserve any mercy. Also, to all of his haters, T.I. will not be showing any mercy.

His first album in two years, T.I. has teamed up with the stars to celebrate his return. With an album loaded with collaborations, T.I. leaves the fans with something they will remember for years to come.

Rap-A-Lot Records lands distribution deal with Fontana Distribution

With today being the twenty-fourth anniversary of Rap-A-Lot Records, J. Prince has landed a new deal for his label. Established in 1986, Rap-A-Lot is best-known for the Geto Boys and their frontman, Scarface. For the past few years, Prince has had the label working with Asylum Records.

However, from this point forward, Rap-A-Lot will be under an exclusive distribution deal with Fontana Distribution. Ron Spaulding, the president of the company, is very happy to be doing business with J. Prince again. In the past, they have worked together and Spaulding loved the result. Now they are back in cahoots together, Spaulding and J. Prince are confident they will pick up where they left off years ago.

The deal is effective immediately and J. Prince is confident Rap-A-Lot will become the largest breadwinner for the Fontana division of Universal.
