T.I. released from Halfway House

By The Hip Hop Writer

There is no imate who has had as much media attention as T.I., who has gone through his troubles with the law. Not even a month after being freed, in 2010, T.I. was caught with drugs and sent back to prison. He was recently forced to spend another month in prison for filming his reality show during the release.

Upon finally being released from prison, T.I. was sent to a halfway house in Atlanta. Early this morning, T.I. was released from the halfway house. One day before his release, T.I. made his return to the mic. Instead of his single with Big K.R.I.T., T.I. remixed Future's "Magic" track.

With T.I. finally being a free man, he is focused on putting together a new album. When he was released, in 2010, T.I. planned to release an album titled King Uncaged. But, upon learning he would be sent back to prison, T.I. released his No Mercy album. T.I. has not announced the title of his new album, nor has he come up with a release date.

T.I. announces new single, "We Don't Get Down Like Y'all"

By The Hip Hop Writer

Despite being behind bars, T.I. has decided it is time for him to launch his comeback. Last year, T.I. got out of prison and attempted to rebuild his buzz. Sadly, he did not make much news until it was revealed he was going back to prison. T.I. says things will be different this time.

T.I. penned an open letter to his fans, earlier this month. In the letter, he talked about releasing new music. Even though he has let the fans down, again, he promised this time was the last time. When he gets out of prison, T.I. will be focused on running his business and making his music.

Recently, T.I. announced he would be putting out a new album to hold fans over. Before being sent to prison, T.I. was releasing a new album every year. But, missing most of 2009 hindered T.I. from releasing an album, then. However, he did manage to release No Mercy before the end of 2010 and it has since gone gold.

T.I.'s latest single, "We Don't Get Down Like Y'all," is a message to the new rappers in the game and their style. The song features B.o.B. However, the song does come off a little homophobic, when T.I. begins touching on the subject of the skinny jeans in hip hop. It is unclear if this new single will be a release off his next project.

T.I.'s "No Mercy" Goes Gold

By The Hip Hop Writer

Things did not turn out the way T.I. had hoped last year. The rapper initially had plans of celebrating his freedom. He had began working on his seventh album, King Uncaged. The album was led with his triumphant comeback single, "I'm Back."

Despite all the energy T.I. was putting in the album, the songs were not receiving much radio play. T.I.'s comeback was not going according to plans. Soon, T.I. began receiving attention, but it was for all of the wrong reasons.

T.I. was pulled over by the police in Los Angeles and ended up being searched. After being found with illegal drugs in the vehicle, T.I. found himself in a mess. It appeared as if he was going back to prison.

The entire format of his album was changed and the title soon became No Mercy. Half of the songs promoted for the King Uncaged album were dropped and T.I. recorded new songs. These new songs talked about his struggles to keep himself straight while working on rebuilding his career. The most-notable song off the No Mercy album was "Get Back Up" with Chris Brown.

Despite the confusion, the song did fairly well and the album was released before Christmas. T.I. has defied most odds and has put together an album that has certified gold.

This year has been very rocky for T.I. as it was supposed to be his first year truly free. T.I. lost his second chance and has been working overtime to repair his image. He had to change the concept of his album at the last minute and still release it before the end of the year.

Even with all of the complications, T.I.'s true fans have stuck with him all of the way. When No Mercy was released, they went out and purchased their copy. The album sold over 150,000 copies in its first week and landed in the top five. Because of this, T.I. has reason to celebrate.

T.I. said he was very glad to have fans who support him through the good and the bad. Because they stuck with him and purchased his album, he offered a thank you. The fans are T.I.'s inspiration and he promised them he would not take them down this road again. While he is celebrating his album sales, T.I. is planning for his release from prison when he officially gets himself back on track.

After coming out of prison, T.I. re-entered the spotlight with his single, "I'm Back." It was the lead single for his properly-titled album, King Uncaged. But, as he was uncaged, the king found himself in trouble that landed him back in jail.

Upon learning he had to return to jail, T.I. changed the name of his album to No Mercy. Since he let his fans down twice, T.I. felt as if he did not deserve any mercy. Also, to all of his haters, T.I. will not be showing any mercy.

T.I. sends Loyal Fans a New Message

By The Hip Hop Writer

Many fans who supported T.I. through his previous prison sentence and ordeal are very upset with him. After getting out of prison, T.I. apologized to his fans and he promised he would never go back to prison. But, after only being free for a few months, T.I. found himself being sent back to prison for another 11 months.

All of the credibility T.I. had been trying to build upon being freed from prison was lost. In his new video, T.I. touches on this and offers another apology to his fans. He hopes they have not given up on him and he has made another promise to do right when he gets out the next time. From this point on, T.I. promises to be a changed man.

For all of those who still believe in T.I., he left a message:

"Thank you to all that took the time to check out my new video GET BACK UP with my homie Chris Brown. And a bigger thanks to those of you who decided to comment (good & bad). To all of you who say “He should practice what he preaches” and “How could he do something so stupid…AGAIN?” You're absolutely right and I couldn't agree with you more. But you know what? As history has shown us before, I find my greatest inspiration during my darkest hours.

So all fans of music, T.I. or not, should be able to agree that NO MERCY will surely be my best work yet. After all isn't that what it's all about? If I never went to prison, never did drugs, never f'ed up again, did everything right and never made great music….would you even care enough to comment on T.I.? Doubt it, so bear that in mind while you jump to your conclusions guys.

Martin Luther King once said “Notice not the comments of your enemies but the silence of your friends.” So although I'm still in touch…watching, reading and listening, I'm not concerned with what negative people say more than I am with what positive people don't. Guess that's enough for now... Love you all still, whether you still love me or not. REAL TALK!!! And I would like to give a special I LOVE U to @star_omg and @tinymajormama. - Tip"

T.I. changes Album Title and Returns to Prison

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

The road to redemption for T.I. is going to be a little bit longer than he expected. When he first got out of prison, T.I. worked overtime to repair his image. Last month, all of the hard work went right out of the window. Now, T.I. is headed back to prison for 11 months.

His album was supposed to be titled King Uncaged, since T.I. was celebrating his return. But, since he is headed right back to prison, there is no need to celebrate. Because of this, Tip has renamed his album to No Mercy. Not only has T.I. lost his perfect album title, but he has also lost endorsements.

Axe deodorant has decided to pull their endorsement from T.I. in the wake of his legal woes. Remy Martin liquor had given T.I. a lucrative contract, giving him an executive role. While they claim to still have love for T.I., they have relieved him of his duties.

Now, T.I. will spend his remaining free days making his rounds and rerecording his track. Because of his recent legal troubles, T.I. will not be able to celebrate his freedom, so he is creating music to match the feeling. Just like last time, T.I. will be preparing his team for the promotion of his album because he will not be able to do it in person. Not only is T.I. headed back to prison, but it is the exact same place he went before in Arkansas. Before he heads back to Arkansas on November 1, T.I. plans to shoot a few videos for the album.

No Mercy, T.I.'s seventh album, is currently set for a December 7 release date, although many feel the album will be pushed back until sometime in 2011.
