Upon getting out of prison, late last year, Lil Wayne promised fans he would take the game over. In 2008, Wayne dominated with his triple platinum Tha Carter III. Following numerous album delays, spanning from 2009, Wayne said Tha Carter IV would be released before the end of 2011.
The singles released from the album were "6 Foot 7 Foot," "John (If I Die Today)," featuring Rick Ross, "How to Love," and "She Will." It has been said more singles are coming, but they have yet to surface, nor has the "She Will" video. While Lil Wayne's singles dominated, he continued his span of guest appearances.
Lil Wayne appeared on Rick Ross' "9 Piece," Game's "Red Nation," Chris Brown's "Look at me Now," DJ Khaled's "Welcome to My Hood" and "I'm on One," Young Jeezy's "Ballin," and B.o.B.'s "Strange Clouds."

In recent weeks, B.o.B. has been all over the headlines. First, he announced his sophomore album. Later, B.o.B. announced his first single, featuring Lil Wayne, "Strange Clouds." B.o.B. also got into a little controversy along the way.
Still, B.o.B. had fans excited with the news about his new music. Soon, he revealed Strange Clouds would be the name of his new album. While he has new music, B.o.B. is taking a back seat to T.I. B.o.B. said he is in the studio, recording as Tupac would.
With his own album, many assumed B.o.B. would release it before the end of this year. But, with T.I. working on new music and new albums from heavyweights, Drake and Rick Ross, B.o.B. likely decided to hold off. He said his new album would probably be released in March of 2012. Read more...

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Following his success, last year, B.o.B. took some time off. B.o.B. continued to assure his fans he would be back with a new album in 2011. But, for most of the year, nothing came from B.o.B.
Signed to Grand Hustle, the label was focused more on their embattled CEO, T.I., coming out of prison. But, the man who kept the label in the spotlight was B.o.B. It was something that did not go unnoticed by T.I.
During the summer, T.I. announced he would release a new single. The single was titled "We Don't Get Down Like Y'all." On the song, T.I. recruited B.o.B. for contributions.
Late in the summer, B.o.B. updated fans on his work. B.o.B. announced he would release new music in the early fall of 2011. Last week, B.o.B. returned with his recent single, "Strange Clouds." The song features rap's current boss, Lil Wayne. Already, the song has become another chart-topping single for B.o.B., as all of his singles have topped the charts.
With another hit for the radio, B.o.B. has decided to name his album Strange Clouds.

Jim Jonsin speaks on producing for T.I., Yelawolf, B.o.B., and Young Jeezy
By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Anticipation for Tha Carter III reached new heights when Lil Wayne released "Lollipop," the first single from the album. The song topped the charts and the hip hop world was introduced to Jim Jonsin. Later that year, Jim Jonsin produced T.I.'s "Whatever You Like" hit.
Through his 2008 successes, Jim Jonsin quickly became one of the most-coveted producers in the game. Jim Jonsin currently has beats in store for many of the top artists in the game. Mary J. Blige and Wiz Khalifa are among the people Jim Jonsin has heat for.
While he is doing work for other artists, Jim Jonsin is also back working with T.I. Jim Jonsin said he tried to put together great music for T.I. to rap over. Calling the Grand Hustle CEO a genius, Jim Jonsin said he will follow T.I.'s vision. Acknowledging the hardships he has gone through, Jim Jonsin said he would help Tip get past them.
Aside from his work with T.I., Jim Jonsin revealed he went to Detroit. While in Detroit, Jim Jonsin went to the studio with Eminem and Yelawolf. Jim Jonsin revealed he did three songs with Yelawolf. The songs are titled "Alabama" and "Yeah, That Boy." Jonsin focused more on the "Alabama" track, saying it was an anthem for the state of Alabama and labeling it a smash.
Jim Jonsin was also the mastermind behind the "Strange Clouds" track with B.o.B. and Lil Wayne. Crediting the song as a good lead single, Jim Jonsin revealed he was not a fan of the record. Speaking on B.o.B.'s new album, Jim Jonsin said he has some good tracks. Jim Jonsin went on to say he feels B.o.B.'s new album will be better than his first album.
Young Jeezy has also been contacting Jim Jonsin for beats. Jim Jonsin said Young Jeezy will randomly call him up and ask for beats. Usually, he will quickly send Jeezy a beat and it ends up going unused. Because he likes him, as both an artist and person, Jim Jonsin said he is eager to hear Thug Motivation 103 and he hopes he has a track on the album. Read more...

Yesterday, B.o.B. made news for attending the Level B Bar in New York. Following a performance at Cornell, the entire crew went to the bar. While there, B.o.B. ordered a number of drinks.
When it was time to pay the tab, B.o.B. and his team ducked out on the bill. The crew ended up being chased by the manager of the bar. B.o.B.'s manager said Level B was fortunate they did not charge them for appearing there.
Level B Bar said they would not take legal action against the rapper, but said they would be more careful in the way they treat celebrities. B.o.B.'s manager has had a change of heart and they paid $2,000 instead of the $1,060 they owed.
B.o.B.'s manager said they wanted to make things right with the bar. He also said he wanted to show the people of Cornell that B.o.B. was indeed a class act. Read more...

By The Hip Hop Writer

Grand Hustle rapper, B.o.B. is back in the headlines, but not because of his new music. B.o.B. was recently performing in New York and visited a bar. At the bar, Level B Bar, B.o.B. ordered $300 worth of bottles of Grey Goose.
In addition to the Grey Goose Vodka, B.o.B. was given a bottle of champagne. But, when it was time to pay, B.o.B. and his entourage left, without paying the bar. Their departure led to Anthony Vipond chasing them into the street.
Vipond, a waiter at the bar, said B.o.B.'s manager said they did the bar a favor by not charging them. Usually, when B.o.B. comes to the club, he is paid for his services. Vipond says things do not work like this in his town.

B.o.B. close to completing New Album
By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
In an otherwise forgettable 2010, for Grand Hustle, B.o.B. was the shining bright light, holding things together. B.o.B. While T.I. was serving time in prison, B.o.B. was topping the charts. B.o.B. has topped the charts on each of his single releases.
During his time off, B.o.B. found himself, one of his singles, and collaborators, dissed by Tyler, the Creator. Earlier this year, B.o.B. replied to the diss, entering a full-fledged feud with Tyler. At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, Tyler, the Creator admitted he hated their music, which led to the disses.
B.o.B. is working on a new album and he said the new album will sound like a cross between a mixtape and an album. Speaking on the new album, B.o.B. said the album is 90% complete. Describing the album as more mature, B.o.B. said he cannot wait for the fans to hear it.
