50 Cent vs. Lupe Fiasco feud?

By The Hip Hop Writer

Even during his days as a mixtape rapper, 50 Cent was known as one of hip hop's biggest forces. In 2003, 50 Cent released his commercial debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin', which was laced with disses aimed at Ja Rule. At the time, Ja Rule was the biggest rapper in the game, 50 Cent took that role.

On his second album, The Massacre, 50 Cent moved on from his feud with Ja Rule. While he still dissed his foe, 50 Cent began dissing Fat Joe, Jadakiss, and Nas. Because of this, Game, then a member of G-Unit, separated himself from 50 Cent. This led to a feud between the label-mates.

50 Cent sparked a feud with Cam'ron before the release of his third album, Curtis. At the same time, 50 Cent found common ground with Jadakiss. It has become clear what 50 Cent does when it is time for him to release a new album. 50 boasted of how he may decide to release a new album this year.

For his new "Street King" movement, 50 Cent has been releasing a new track every day. While the movement is for a worthy cause, 50 Cent took shots at Lupe Fiasco. After being out of the limelight for four years, Lupe Fiasco returned with his chart-topping album, Lasers. The album solidified Lupe Fiasco as the new socially-concious figure in hip hop. For the most part, Lupe Fiasco has stayed away from beef, but he had a minor tiff with Soulja Boy last December.

With 50 Cent apparently taking shots during a time when beef is more of a joke than a true competition, will Lupe Fiasco respond to 50 Cent, or will be invite him to dinner?

As early as 2007, 50 Cent made it be known he was not pleased with Interscope Records. The Queens rapper felt his project, Curtis, was mishandled by the label. 50 Cent made the statement that he owed Interscope two more albums and he would likely leave.

In 2010, 50 Cent began working on this "final album." It was during this time when 50 was rumored to be well on his way to Def Jam. While a deal with Def Jam was not established, 50 Cent did align G-Unit Records with EMI and Lloyd Banks released his latest album through them.

50 Cent announced he would be a free agent following the release of his next album. Tired of the label politics, 50 said he was ready to just release the new project. 50 Cent has plans of releasing several singles before the release of the album. 50 admitted he was upset with the way his single, "I'm On It," was handled by Interscope Records.

With this new album, 50 Cent said he has recorded over two album's worth of material.

There has been discussion of a new 50 Cent album ever since the release of Before I Self Destruct. Owing one more album to Interscope Records, 50 Cent has had trouble with the label. Ever since his Curtis project was mishandled by the label, 50 Cent has been speaking his mind.

Initially, 50 Cent said he was leaving Interscope Records when he completed his deal. With the deal set to expire after his next album, 50 Cent may have a change of heart. He has set up a new distribution deal for G-Unit Records with the long-forgotten EMI Records.

Making waves in the business arena, 50 Cent has been hard at work on his new album. On his latest LP, 50 Cent said he is taking the Eminem and Dr. Dre approach. Not in a hurry to meet deadlines, 50 Cent is taking his time writing and recording his new album. When he feels the album is ready to go, he is going to put it out.

For years, there were rumors of a closet feud between Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. These rumors began when 50 Cent kicked Game out of G-Unit and Dr. Dre soon released him from Aftermath. The story was told over the next few years.

When his album, Curtis, did not fare so well, 50 Cent placed the blame upon Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. 50 Cent began sending several light disses to Dr. Dre. At times, 50 spoke publicly on the feud, but said he would never directly diss Dr. Dre.

This March, 50 Cent revealed Dr. Dre was upset over his headphone line. This is something Dr. Dre denied before calling out an unnamed rival in "I Need a Doctor." Some speculated he was actually going after 50 Cent.

Recent news, however, has proven otherwise. 50 Cent has been invited, by Dr. Dre to record on Detox, the album which will house "I Need a Doctor." No solid release date for the album, or song, has been released to the public.

50 Cent downplays Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre feud

By The Hip Hop Writer

50 Cent confirmed years' worth of rumors when he publicly dissed his former bosses, Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre. Ever since his 2007 album, Curtis, did worse than expected, 50 Cent has had problems with Jimmy Iovine. When 2009's Before I Self Destruct was held up because of Dr. Dre, 50 Cent called him out.

With Before I Self Destruct being 50 Cent's last album under his deal with Dr. Dre, he announced he would not re-sign. Building for the future, Dre re-added Game to the label. Game and 50 Cent were label-mates from 2002 until 2005. Upon releasing their albums, the two revealed they had major beef.

Even with everything going on Dr. Dre intended to reunite his former proteges on his Detox album. But, 50 Cent released a statement dissing both of his bosses. According to 50 Cent, Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre were upset when he released his headphone line, Sleek by 50, as it was directly competing with the line Dre launched in 2008 with Iovine, Beats by Dre.

After the story has flooded the internet, 50 Cent is trying to downplay the madness. He said he still has love for Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. Without them and Eminem, he does not know where he would be right now, as he was having trouble getting signed. 50 Cent said he spoke with Jimmy Iovine and the two quickly ended their beef. The next person on 50 Cent's agenda is Dr. Dre, once he talks to him, maybe he can be added to the Detox lineup again.
