50 Cent vs. Lupe Fiasco feud?

Even during his days as a mixtape rapper, 50 Cent was known as one of hip hop's biggest forces. In 2003, 50 Cent released his commercial debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin', which was laced with disses aimed at Ja Rule. At the time, Ja Rule was the biggest rapper in the game, 50 Cent took that role.

On his second album, The Massacre, 50 Cent moved on from his feud with Ja Rule. While he still dissed his foe, 50 Cent began dissing Fat Joe, Jadakiss, and Nas. Because of this, Game, then a member of G-Unit, separated himself from 50 Cent. This led to a feud between the label-mates.

50 Cent sparked a feud with Cam'ron before the release of his third album, Curtis. At the same time, 50 Cent found common ground with Jadakiss. It has become clear what 50 Cent does when it is time for him to release a new album. 50 boasted of how he may decide to release a new album this year.

For his new "Street King" movement, 50 Cent has been releasing a new track every day. While the movement is for a worthy cause, 50 Cent took shots at Lupe Fiasco. After being out of the limelight for four years, Lupe Fiasco returned with his chart-topping album, Lasers. The album solidified Lupe Fiasco as the new socially-concious figure in hip hop. For the most part, Lupe Fiasco has stayed away from beef, but he had a minor tiff with Soulja Boy last December.

With 50 Cent apparently taking shots during a time when beef is more of a joke than a true competition, will Lupe Fiasco respond to 50 Cent, or will be invite him to dinner?

French Montana recruits Diddy and T.I. for "Shot Caller (remix)"

While other rappers are calling themselves the "King of New York," French Montana is actively making it happen. This year, he has experienced much success with his "Shot Caller" single. The song has become one of the most-played radio singles in New York City.

French Montana recently completed the video for his popular single. The video will feature cameos from several of the hottest rappers in the game. Fat Joe, Diddy, Busta Rhymes, and N.O.R.E. appear in the video. The "Shot Caller" video is expected to do just as well as the actual song has.

Before the video for the original track has been released, there are already bigger things in the works. French Montana has the remix of "Shot Caller" in the works. The remix will feature Diddy, who was previously mentioned, and T.I. French Montana credits DJ Drama for being the man who made this happen.

DJ Drama's favorite song, right now, is French Montana's "Shot Caller." When he learned French Montana was going to remix the track, DJ Drama wanted to see if T.I. wanted to be on it. French Montana said he guessed T.I. was asking Drama what were the hottest records to get on. With "Shot Caller" being a favorite of DJ Drama's obviously he pointed Tip in French Montana's direction. While the remix is going to be major, it will not be released for a couple of months.

The original "Shot Caller" track has done well, growing from the underground scene to getting radio play on both Hot 97 and Power 105. Despite the success of "Shot Caller," French Montana is holding off on his debut album until he decides who to sign with. French Montana has been courted by Diddy, who is also his new collaborator, and Rick Ross. However, he does have projects in the works with Waka Flocka Flame and Three 6 Mafia.

Will Lil Wayne respond to 50 Cent this time?

Last week, 50 Cent took shots at Lil Wayne and Game on his new song, "Love, Hate." This is not the first time 50 Cent has decided to go after Lil Wayne. 50 Cent was used to being the focal point of the hip hop scene. However, by 2007 his popularity had waned and the people wanted more of Lil Wayne.

Angry because he was losing his grip with the fans, 50 Cent was no fan of Lil Wayne. Adding insult to injury, Lil Wayne was also friends with many of 50 Cent's rivals. Lil Wayne performed the hook on the popular Fat Joe single, "Make it Rain." Ja Rule even turned to Wayne for a verse on his comeback single, "Uhh Ohhh!"

Lil Wayne's popularity and choice of friends gave 50 Cent the ammo to go after him. Despite the disses from 50 Cent, Lil Wayne refused to give him a response. Wanting an Eminem collaboration, Lil Wayne said he may start a feud with Em if he did not reply to his messages. However, each time 50 Cent said something, Lil Wayne chose to ignore it.

In 2008, it turned out Lil Wayne had intentions of dissing 50 Cent. A freestyle called "Louisianimal" leaked to the internet and it was obviously Lil Wayne taking shots at 50 Cent. Nearly a month after the song came out, 50 Cent questioned why Lil Wayne dissed him. In response, Lil Wayne's team said the song was recorded in 2007, while 50 Cent was dissing him. By 2008, Lil Wayne and 50 Cent had almost become friends, shaking hands at the 2008 BET Awards.

Early in 2009, 50 Cent made plans for a major feud with Lil Wayne. However, a diss from Rick Ross entirely changed the dynamics. 50 Cent shifted his focus to Rick Ross, nearly forgetting all about Wayne. In the time since then, Lil Wayne has released more albums and has continued to dominate the radio waves and the charts. Rick Ross has also experienced much success, with fans and fellow hip hop artists giving him props as the biggest rapper in the game.

Now, 50 Cent is releasing new music in hopes of getting his spot back. On his "Love, Hate" song, 50 Cent responds to Game's frequent disses and takes aim at Lil Wayne. With Lil Wayne holding the top spot in the game, will he respond to 50 Cent's disses. Usually non-confrontational, Lil Wayne has already decided to go after Jay-Z, with his "It's Good" track. Will Lil Wayne now refocus his energy on 50 Cent, the hip hop bully, and come out with more lyrical ammo.

Remy Ma speaks on missing Family Time, due to Prison

In 2007, Remy Ma publicly left Fat Joe and Terror Squad. As she began to move on with her career, she was brought up on criminal charges. Following her 2007 trial, Remy Ma was sentenced to prison until at least January of 2015.

Having to be in prison for so long has had a negative impact for the former Terror Squad rapper. Despite their differences, Fat Joe reached out to Remy Ma, when he realized how long she would be away. Remy Ma is missing out on the growth of her children.

Remy Ma is the mother of four children, two boys and two girls. It has been tough on Remy Ma being away from her family. But, she said her children take pictures of everything and they send them to her when they visit.

DJ Khaled speaks on Unity in Hip Hop

DJ Khaled is known for bringing several artists together on the same track. In 2007, DJ Khaled was involved in a minor feud with Young Buck. At the time, Buck was still in good graces with 50 Cent. When he tried to diss DJ Khaled, Khaled said he was about unity instead of beef.

Throughout his career, DJ Khaled has tried to stop beefs from happening. In 2008, he helped end the "cold war" between his partner, Fat Joe, and Jay-Z. With Khaled's help, the two rappers took the stage together. However, not all of Khaled's efforts have been successful.

Recently, Lil Wayne, a frequent Khaled collaborator, decided to diss Jay-Z. Rick Ross and Young Jeezy re-ignited their feud after DJ Khaled promised it had ended. Just yesterday, Jim Jones, a frequent collaborator of Lil Wayne's, decided to diss him. Still, DJ Khaled is focused on mending fences in the game.

At the 2011 BMI Awards, DJ Khaled said it was very important for artists to stick together. Khaled said unity is what helps artists last longer in the game. Aside from lasting longer, it also brings a positive message to the overall community. At the end of the day, DJ Khaled said entertainers should remember there are people from all walks of life who look up to them.

DJ Khaled enlists Young Jeezy, Game, Drake, and Fat Joe for "We The Best Forever"

In 2006, DJ Khaled released his debut album through Fat Joe's Terror Squad label. Because of his background as a hypeman and a DJ, he did not rap. In order to fill his albums, the Miami-area DJ, had to enlist several rappers to be on his songs and albums.

Initially, his music only had a small following and only rappers from the South and unknown rappers performed on his albums. Lil Wayne was one of DJ Khaled's biggest collaborators and supporters. When his career took off, Khaled benefited.

DJ Khaled's 2007 hit, "We Takin' Over," put him on the map and his next album fared much better. By 2010, DJ Khaled had landed collaborations with Snoop Dogg and had a shoutout from Jay-Z. Now, one year later, DJ Khaled had lined up all the big names to be on his upcoming album, We The Best Forever.

Among the guests on the album will be Game, Young Jeezy, Fat Joe, Drake, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne.

Ace Hood explains the difference between East Coast and Dirty South

There has been an ongoing debate between New York hip hop and the Southern movement for years now. Rappers have come and gone representing each side. Over the years, the Southern influence has had a profound effect on New York rappers.

Ace Hood has risen in this new era with New York rappers frequently working with Southern acts. In his first music video, there were cameo appearances from Fat Joe and Fabolous. Hood currently has two major hits on the radio.

Promising to re-emerge in 2011, Ace Hood has given his opinion on the difference between the two areas. He said New York rap focuses more on lyrics, while Southern rap focuses more on swagger. Ace quickly said his influence comes from his Florida roots.

However, Ace Hood said he has been influenced by both Lil Wayne and T.I. Surprising to some, Ace Hood said he was a big fan of Canibus.

Fred the Godson joins Rick Ross and Fat Joe to recreate The Fat Boyz

Earlier this year, Beanie Sigel suggested he, Rick Ross, and Fat Joe get together to recreate The Fat Boyz. At the time, the idea stirred up a little buzz. But, after a few weeks, the idea was forgotten. Fat Joe has been struggling for hits, while Rick Ross has been taking over the game.

The Fat Boyz represented a time when hip hop was simpler and less violent. For years, leaders in the black community have been pleading for hip hop to return to this type of music. Beanie Sigel, Rick Ross, and Fat Joe all create violent music. But, if they were to unite to recreate such a legendary group, they may change their style up.

SOHH.com recently revisited the idea of recreating the legendary group. They asked "Fat Man" hitmaker, Fred the Godson about who he would team up with for a Fat Boyz crew. Fred replied with the same two Beanie Sigel chose, Rick Ross and Fat Joe. Ross would be on the team because of his popularity, while Joe would be on because of his personality.

A few months ago, Fred the Godson had the chance to meet Fat Joe and they hit it off well.

DJ Khaled says "We The Best Forever" album Coming Soon

Five years ago, DJ Khaled burst onto the hip hop scene and made Miami into a force in the South. For years, he had been known as Fat Joe's DJ. Khaled was heard in many of Joe's songs, and songs featuring Joe, doing ad-libs.

But, in 2006, DJ Khaled put together his debut album. Unlike most albums, Khaled featured at least three artists on each song. DJ Khaled did not provide any rap verses, but he did provide ad-libs.

DJ Khaled helped many rappers become stars in the game, most notably Rick Ross and Plies. Each year, with the exception of 2009, DJ Khaled has released a new album. This year will be no different as he has already released a statement.

For the year of 2011, DJ Khaled will be releasing a new album called We The Best Forever. The only difference is Khaled might do a little bit of rapping on the record, himself.

50 Cent wants Mims off Capitol/EMI

Following his recent signing to EMI Records, 50 Cent is hoping to rebuild his G-Unit empire, piece by piece. Clearly, 50 Cent and G-Unit Records is the biggest name EMI has had since the days of MC Hammer. Now the biggest fish in the pond again, 50 Cent wants things to go his way or he will raise hell. It has been no secret that 50 Cent is to Mims’ biggest fan.


In 2007, many people felt as if Mims could become the next big thing out of New York City. His movement was compared to 50 Cent’s from a few years earlier. When 50 Cent was asked about the comparisons, he said Mims would not make it. Months later, multiple websites reported news about Mims talking reckless about 50 Cent.

Right before 50 Cent addressed the issue, Mims came out to quickly retract his statement. This did a lot to bolster 50 Cent’s confidence as the top dog in the game. But, Mims was labeled a punk by many hip hop websites. While Mims often says he is a big fan of 50 Cent, he is known to associate with Fat Joe and Rick Ross.

By now, it is no secret about 50 Cent despising both rappers with a passion. Early in his career, 50 Cent said anyone who associated with his rivals were dissing him. In 2009, when Mims allowed Rick Ross to remix his “Life as a Star” track, 50 Cent issued a warning to Mims. Despite the warning, Mims continued to do what he does.

50 Cent is still likely watching and will probably do what he can to get Mims off the label. A new album from 50 Cent is expected to be released before the end of this year.

Fat Joe offered 100K for live concert broadcast?

Social networking company Social networking company Xumanii is offering the emcee up at least $100k for the rights to broadcast a live stream of his next performance.

Even though his latest album The Darkside: Volume 1 has had lackluster sales(though critically acclaimed), Xumanii still believes Joe can bring an audience, and is guaranteeing at least 100K in ticket sales if the rapper signs on.

If Joe signs on, Xumanii will stream his concert worldwide, with 'tickets' to view sold at $10 a pop. Xumanii guarantees at least 10,000 viewers, even without the help of a sponsorship, and believes that with a sponsorship that number could double if not even greater.

As of today, Joe has not yet officially signed on for this deal, but it is believed that he will.

Fat Joe ignores 50 Cent, praises New Album

Fat Joe has spent his entire career as one of the top ten rappers as far as radio play goes. Having been in the game for seventeen years, he has proven himself as a hitmaker. But, when people discuss the best rappers of the 1990s and 200s, they mention Jay-Z and Nas, hits usually are credited to Ja Rule and Jay-Z.

Despite all his accomplishments, Fat Joe has never held the number one spot. Due to his age, it appears as if he will never have a run on the top. His feud with 50 Cent does not do much to help matters, either. For years, 50 Cent has been a thorn in his side, but he has used his internet popularity to lampoon Fat Joe.

Before his feud with 50 Cent, Fat Joe was well-respected in the hip hop game and now he is viewed as a joke. This was reflected in the sales of his last album. Embarrassed, Fat Joe went to work on his most-recent album, The Darkside, Vol. 1. Hoping to finally solidify himself, Fat Joe lost the nice guy image to return to the hardcore music that landed him the initial deal with Relativity Records.

Even with 50 Cent breathing down his neck, Fat Joe is confident in his album. Having made millions in the rap game, Fat Joe could care less about how much his album sells. But, having been in the game for seventeen years, Fat Joe is hoping the album will be well-recieved. Despite logging more years than the likes of Jay-Z and Nas, he has still yet to cross that barrier. With this album, Fat Joe feels he has rightfully earned his spot among the greatest of all-time.

While 50 Cent teases Fat Joe about record sales, Joe replies about his latest music, which is recieving just as much hype as the last 50 Cent album.

Fat Joe boasts about Trey Songz collaboration

Yesterday, Fat Joe released his long-discussed Trey Songz collaboration, "If It Ain't About The Money." Once he revealed he was recording a new album, Fat Joe has named Trey Songz as one of the guests. After talking about the album for almost six months, it was heard for the first time on May 24, 2010.

While the song was released yesterday, it will take some time before the song actually gains airplay. The song is currently dominating the radio in the New York area. But, it will be some months before the song receives airplay outside of its own area. Fat Joe is confident the song will change his fortunes when it is released.

Describing his new song, Fat Joe said the game will not be the same once everybody hears it. Fat Joe said a change will take place in the streets. Not only will the change take place in the streets, but change will also take place within the city. There have been doubts of Fat Joe's legendary status despite him being a veteran.

However, after the release of this song and once the people hear it, Fat Joe is confident in his legacy being cemented.

Armageddon prepares Debut Album

Despite rumors of a feud between Armageddon and Fat Joe, he remains on the Terror Squad roster. Two years ago, multiple artists that used to be on Terror Squad lashed out at Fat Joe. It was during this time that Armageddon supposedly left the label.

In the past, Armageddon complained about not having an album out. Fat Joe has said multiple times that his Terror Squad artists are lazy. He said all that they had to do was get into the studio and record music. Most people said Fat Joe was selfish.

Throughout his career, he has made moves that primarily benefited himself. However, his latest move was one that helped out everyone. Fat Joe finally landed an exclusive distribution deal with E1 Music for Terror Squad.

With the deal in place, Fat Joe has gotten down to business when it concerns his new album, The Dark Side, and he is trying to establish the other artists on Terror Squad. The first artist signed to Terror Squad, aside from Fat Joe and Big Pun was Armageddon. Not only has he been the longest-tenured artist on the label, but he has also proven to be the most-loyal, too.

Armageddon is currently working on his debut album, The Journal, which he proclaimed will be the album of the year. Before he can even get established, Geddy is toying with the idea of possibly changing the title of the album to The Journal: Vol 1 The Rebirth. On the album, he has recorded with Fat Joe and N.O.R.E. He has worked with such producers as Doo Wop.

Currently, he is out promoting the first single off of the album, "It's Over." The song is actually a remix to an older song that he created. However, this single will begin his push into the mainstream. He said that he had not spoken with Fat Joe in a while before the two worked together in Miami. Because of the chemistry that they had, Fat Joe decided to allow him to begin his debut album.

Now, Geddy says that he has reconnected with hip hop and he is ready to release The Journal.
