Game robbed during Video Shoot
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Long ago, Game established himself as the bad boy of the rap game. When the world first learned of who Game was, he was feuding with G-Unit. At the time, 50 Cent and G-Unit were among hip hop's most popular crew and Game held his own with them.
Since moving on from the G-Unit feud, Game has been preparing his long-awaited opus, The R.E.D. Album. Originally set for a release date in 2009, the album will not come until August. But, the time he took was worth it.
Game made a strong return with his "Red Nation" single. His second official single, "Pot of Gold," features Chris Brown. Even as an R&B artist, Brown has become known for his "gangsta" persona.
However, during the video shoot for "Pot of Gold," things became "gangsta" for real. Armed robbers rushed the shoot and robbed Game of both jewelry and money. The robbers walked away with over $12,000 upon robbing Game on Tuesday. Despite being robbed, neither Game nor Chris Brown actually witnessed the robbery. Read more...

Lupe Fiasco praises Lil B, impressed by "I'm Gay" concept
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Ever since his recent comeback, Lupe Fiasco has been rather outspoken. Because Atlantic Records would not give him a secure release date, Lupe publicly called the label out. Due to an uproar from the fans, Atlantic Records released his album.
Surprisingly, to both Lupe Fiasco and his record label, the album was a hit. Boasting several hit singles, including the latest, "Out of My Head," suddenly Lupe Fiasco found himself among the top artists in the rap game.
This support has come from such songs as the controversial "Words I Never Said" and "All Black Everything." Lupe Fiasco has not been the only rapper acting out during the first half of 2011. West Coast rapper, Lil B, made headline news when he decided to name his debut album, I'm Gay.
Because of the public outcry and death threats from some homosexual groups, Lil B altered the title of the album to I'm Gay (I'm Happy). Based off his album title, alone, Lil B has been featured in magazines and popular websites. His buzz has been noticed by Lupe Fiasco, who is impressed by Lil B. Lupe Fiasco said the new album is actually revolutionary and he called it genius. Gay, which actually means happy, has become a negative word in hip hop and Lil B said he is trying to make it positive again. Read more...
Hip Hop Vibe is coming to Print
When Hip Hop Vibe was founded, the intention was to release it as a print publication. But, due to the print costs and the financial limitations, Hip Hop Vibe's format was changed. For nearly two years, Hip Hop Vibe has been presented online and will continue to do so. However, the original dream was never lost, it was simply altered.
Over the past two years, Hip Hop Vibe has managed to set itself away from some of the other hip hop media outlets. Every day, the people at Hip Hop Vibe are focused on growth and expansion. Earlier this week, the expansion began when the first actual Hip Hop Vibe magazine was created. The test issue will be released to a select number of people on July 1, 2011.
The first true issue of Hip Hop Vibe will be coming before the end of the month. Hip Hop Vibe's first issue will be a recap of June and July and a preview of August. For the overall TBT Entertainment Group, the Hip Hop Vibe magazine coming to life is a dream come true. The two years of waiting has been well worth it and the team cannot wait to release the magazine to the readers.
Lil B releases "I'm Gay" LP through iTunes
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
When rappers are preparing to release an album, they go through extensive promotional runs. Because the people have grown immune to the regular promotional runs, artists have began finding different ways to promote. 50 Cent usually picks a fight with another rapper the year he plans to release an album.
West Coast rapper, Lil B named his debut album I'm Gay. Many thought he was looking for attention when he gave his first major release such a name. Lil B has repeatedly said the reason he decided to name his album I'm Gay was because he is, happy. The original meaning of gay is happy and Lil B is.
Having an album with such an odd title has gained Lil B international fame and a number of death threats. Ironically, with all the attention he has received, his album was released to little fanfare. Earlier today, Lil B released I'm Gay (I'm Happy) through iTunes. Through his Twitter account, Lil B has provided the purchase link to his fans. Read more...

T.I. announces new single, "We Don't Get Down Like Y'all"
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Despite being behind bars, T.I. has decided it is time for him to launch his comeback. Last year, T.I. got out of prison and attempted to rebuild his buzz. Sadly, he did not make much news until it was revealed he was going back to prison. T.I. says things will be different this time.
T.I. penned an open letter to his fans, earlier this month. In the letter, he talked about releasing new music. Even though he has let the fans down, again, he promised this time was the last time. When he gets out of prison, T.I. will be focused on running his business and making his music.
Recently, T.I. announced he would be putting out a new album to hold fans over. Before being sent to prison, T.I. was releasing a new album every year. But, missing most of 2009 hindered T.I. from releasing an album, then. However, he did manage to release No Mercy before the end of 2010 and it has since gone gold.
T.I.'s latest single, "We Don't Get Down Like Y'all," is a message to the new rappers in the game and their style. The song features B.o.B. However, the song does come off a little homophobic, when T.I. begins touching on the subject of the skinny jeans in hip hop. It is unclear if this new single will be a release off his next project. Pusha T speaks on Moving to Def Jam
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Last summer, Kanye West made a major move when he signed veteran rapper, Pusha T, to G.O.O.D. Music. As a member of the popular duo, The Clipse, Pusha T had been making hits since the summer of 2002. But, the recent years had been very hard on the brothers.
While still a member of The Clipse, Pusha T was focused on solidifying himself as a solo artist. Already having a working relationship with Kanye West, Pusha T felt the best option was to sign with his label. However, signing with G.O.O.D. Music does not necessarily mean signing to a major label.
G.O.O.D. Music has distribution deals with Universal Records, Def Jam, Geffen, Sony, and many other labels. Earlier this week, Kanye West decided to organize things. Having spent his entire career recording with Def Jam, Kanye West decided to bring his label home. He entered an exclusive distribution deal with Def Jam, since he and Big Sean were already signed there.
Now a member of Def Jam, Pusha T spoke on the new deal. Pusha T said he feels as if there will be nothing but success, now that G.O.O.D. Music is under Def Jam. For years, the label was successful, without even having a secured distribution deal. With everything organized and all of the artists using the same channel of distribution, Pusha T feels as if they will fit well with the Def Jam machine. Kanye West has been among the biggest artists on Def Jam since the departure of Jay-Z.
With G.O.O.D. Music now under Def Jam, the label will likely receive much of Def Jam's attention the same way Roc-A-Fella Records did during its heyday. Read more...

Freddie Gibbs seeks to end "below the belt" Photos
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Long before Anthony Weiner was caught showing his to women following him on Twitter, notable men were sending "dick pics" to random women. Early this year, Chris Brown was caught sending those types of pictures to a few of his female fans. The timing of the photo leak could not have been better, his album came only days after the leak.
Many male celebrities have been caught in the nude in photographs that end up shared online. Ironically, this is usually before some type of project they are trying to release. This has led most to believe artists are having their private parts leaked in order to help them promote their music. Some have said if an artist has to do this to sell, they are in the wrong business.
Freddie Gibbs, the newest artist of Corporate Thugz, has been very outspoken about several topics. From Osama Bin Laden, to his opinion on other artists, whether positive or negative, Freddie Gibbs has had something to say. Recently, the Indiana rapper gave his opinion about the "dick pics," saying it is time for this to end. In a video interview, Freddie Gibbs said the only reason the men are doing this is because the women are letting them. Freddie Gibbs said this is an epidemic, costing men everything for the sake of a little attention. Read more...

Rick Ross sued over Dog Fight
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Rick Ross can be added to the list of rappers who are facing legal troubles of some sort. Ross' issues, however, are not as major as the ones Lil Wayne, T.I., and others have faced. The true culprit of the crime was actually a pit bull owned by Rick Ross.
While Rick Ross was away, his pit bull got loose and attacked a dog owned by one of the neighbors. His pit bull would eventually kill the neighbor's dog and the neighbors now want compensation. The neighbor claims there were three bite marks on the dog's back.
The attack took place in April, of this year, at Rick Ross' Atlanta mansion. While Rick Ross was already cited for the incident, the neighbor is now filing charges. Rick Ross is facing a $15,000 lawsuit in damages and court costs. Read more...

Tyler, the Creator says he will Die at 40
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Tyler, the Creator is no stranger to controversy. On his popular single, "Yonkers," Tyler called out B.o.B. and Bruno Mars. Last year, the two had a chart-topping single with "Nothin' on You." This diss led to a feud between Tyler, the Creator and B.o.B.
On nearly every song from Tyler, the Creator features some controversial lines. Tyler has proved to be just as controversial when he is simply talking. When Frank Ocean began feuding with popular singer, Chris Brown, Tyler stepped in.
Most recently, Tyler, the Creator caused controversy again when he predicted his death. He said he would likely die at 40, or 24 due to a heroin overdose. Recently, Tyler got into an argument because he said the Columbine shooters were probably cool people. Read more...

Lil Wayne compares "Sorry 4 The Wait" to "No Ceilings"
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Promising Tha Carter IV would come to life in 2011, following two years worth of delays, Lil Wayne had to push the album back again. With his "6 Foot 7 Foot" single still buzzing after three months on the radio, Wayne wanted to release his album in June. However, his manager, Cortez Bryant, decided to hold off on the album.
For making fans wait, Lil Wayne has titled the mixtape Sorry 4 The Wait. Currently, the only guest appearance on the album is Lil B, the "gay" rapper from the West Coast. With Tha Carter IV not coming until August, this mixtape will have to hold fans over for a stretch of time.
Lil Wayne said the mixtape will have a similar format to his critically-acclaimed 2010 mixtape, No Ceilings. Again, Wayne will be freestyling over beats by other artists. Wayne said he is going to make some rappers mad, who did not call on him to record on the original.
Currently, Tha Carter IV is slated for an August 29 release date. Read more...

Big K.R.I.T. is always working on new material and he said to be on the lookout for new material from him this year. While his debut album is coming this year, K.R.I.T. was mum on revealing the title of the album.

Freddie Gibbs explains Rick Ross beef
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
For a little over a year, Rick Ross and Young Jeezy have been engaged in a feud. Last year, Ross took over the game with his "B.M.F." single. Young Jeezy recorded a remix to the song that offended Rick Ross and led to their feud.
Young Jeezy's newest signee, Freddie Gibbs, quickly joined his boss in the feud. However, Freddie Gibbs' diss has been taken out of context. Gibbs has called Ross out over his style several times.
Due to Ross' stature in the game, there have been plenty of questions about Freddie Gibbs' beef with Rick Ross. Gibbs said it is not like he has made this feud personal. On a personal level, Freddie Gibbs has no issues with him, but he does not like the 'Rick Ross persona.' Read more...

Kanye West signs New Deal with Def Jam for G.O.O.D. Music
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Earlier today, Kanye West made a power play. For years, West has been the head of G.O.O.D. Music. Initially, he created the label for artists he had produced for. G.O.O.D. Music had released all of his albums through Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam. But, following the official end of the label, Kanye West moved into the main Def Jam label.
The current artists on G.O.O.D. Music have distribution deals with various labels. Common was one of the longest-running artists on the label, releasing his music through Geffen Records. However, Common recently signed with Warner Bros. Records, leaving both G.O.O.D. and the Geffen label.
When Big Sean signed with G.O.O.D. Music, he was signed to a distribution deal with Def Jam. Following Big Sean's success, early on, and Kanye's history, West decided to bring the entire G.O.O.D. Music roster over to Def Jam. The first artist to release an album under this new, exclusive deal with Def Jam will be newcomer, Big Sean, who is currently buzzing with his "My Last" single. DJ Khaled enlists Young Jeezy, Game, Drake, and Fat Joe for "We The Best Forever"
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
In 2006, DJ Khaled released his debut album through Fat Joe's Terror Squad label. Because of his background as a hypeman and a DJ, he did not rap. In order to fill his albums, the Miami-area DJ, had to enlist several rappers to be on his songs and albums.
Initially, his music only had a small following and only rappers from the South and unknown rappers performed on his albums. Lil Wayne was one of DJ Khaled's biggest collaborators and supporters. When his career took off, Khaled benefited.
DJ Khaled's 2007 hit, "We Takin' Over," put him on the map and his next album fared much better. By 2010, DJ Khaled had landed collaborations with Snoop Dogg and had a shoutout from Jay-Z. With the BET Awards taking place, most of the stars of urban entertainment were there. Many stars, some of which are well past their prime, still attend the ceremony. A few years ago, Lil' Kim was actually an integral part of BET. Before going to prison, she had a show on the network.

Kanye West wins 'Best Male Hip Hop Artist' at BET Awards
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Two of the biggest winners of the 2011 BET Awards were Kanye West and Chris Brown. Two years ago, both were at all-time lows in their respective careers. Brown, seemingly at the peak of his career, blew it all in a public fight with Rihanna. Kanye West would lose his following seven months later at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
However, in 2010, both artists released music that could not be denied by the public. West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy touched all the touchy topics. He spoke of how the media had treated him and how he still was going to dominate the game. Chris Brown also laid his demons to rest.
Kanye West released several hit singles that helped re-establish himself, following a two year absence. Before going on his usual hiatus, Kanye West had released an R&B album. Following a two year break, and a stint in R&B, Kanye West overcame dominant years from both Rick Ross and Eminem to win the top award in hip hop. Read more...

50 Cent has credited Interscope Records as the source of many of his recent issues both selling records and losing artists. The album he is working on is the last in his contract. In 2005, 50 added Mobb Deep to the G-Unit label. Two years ago, he was forced by Interscope Records to drop them.

Game discusses Henchman and 1994 Shooting of Tupac Shakur
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
As he awaits the release of his long-delayed album, The R.E.D. Album, Game watched as his manager, Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond, was brought up on drug charges. Much like other viewers, Game saw Henchman deny the allegations and news stories break on a daily basis.
Game said Jimmy is his brother and he will ride or die with him, regardless. He said he and Jimmy, both, will keep their heads up and hope for the best. The Compton rapper went on to say Henchman's arrest may be a plot by the government.
Because the public has yet to see Osama Bin Laden's body, Game said it is hard to believe anything they have to say about Henchman. In the middle of the Henchman controversy, Dexter Isaac, a former employee of Henchman, said he shot Tupac Shakur, in 1994. He said he shot the controversial rapper under orders from Henchman.
Because he was only thirteen, and on the other side of the country, in 1994, Game said he does not know what went on, at all. At the time, Game was only in middle school, so he has no idea about what went on during this time. Back then, Game did not know Tupac, Isaac, or Henchman, all he knew was going to school and playing basketball. Seventeen years later, however, Game is one of the biggest rappers on the planet and he is now signed to Henchman's management company.
Game, agreeing with Henchman, said Isaac likely confessed to avoid a lifetime sentence in prison. Read more...

Ron Browz initially offered "Ether" beat to Jay-Z
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
In 2001, Ron Browz quickly rose to fame, as the producer of the legendary "Ether" track. The song proved to be the winning effort from Nas in his feud with Jay-Z. While Jay-Z is considered, by many, to be among the top rappers of all-time, most agree "Ether" is on topic Hov can never avoid.
When he produced the "Ether" track, Ron Browz said he offered it to several other artists. Browz said he shopped the track around and a member of Jay-Z's team checked it out. This was around the same time Jay-Z released "Takeover." However, no one from his team came back to purchase the beat.
Nas eventually purchased the beat and "Ether" was born and the rest was history. Hip hop pundits reached a consensus over the feud between Jay-Z and Nas. Ten years later, Jay-Z and Nas are friends and frequent collaborators, but fans love looking back on the feud. Now, there is a new plot to the old story. Read more...

DMX unimpressed with New Hip Hop Artists
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Before he went to prison, DMX did not have much nice to say about hip hop. Preparing to return from behind bars, not much has changed. Yesterday, X said he still had issues with Jay-Z and revealed he is not a major fan of Drake.
During the peak of DMX's career, all of the rappers were on top of their game. Regardless of beef, or any other issues, everyone gave the best they had. DMX does not see this with the new crop of rappers.
While he revealed he is a fan of Nicki Minaj, X said the rest of the rappers are not impressive. He said the music he has heard, so far, has been sad. It has been like this for some time, as Nas evidenced and DMX promised to revive hip hop, in 2007.
DMX said his comments are not meant to disrespect anyone. X has kept up with hip hop because BET is among the only channels available in prison. Watching Nicki Minaj, DMX said his favorite song from her is "Did It On 'Em." But, for the most part, DMX has been surprised with the people who have made the top ten on "106 & Park." Read more...
Drake upset with Universal Motown over His Music
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Currently, Drake is putting together his second studio album, Take Care. His debut album, Thank Me Later, was a platinum success under Young Money/Cash Money. During the late 1990s, Cash Money Records signed an exclusive, long-term distribution deal with Universal Motown.
The deal did wonders for Birdman and Slim, the brotherly heads of Cash Money Records. In nearly fourteen years working with Universal Motown, both are worth well over $100 million. However, at times, artists under them have suffered.
Cash Money Records lost Juvenile and B.G., major power players in the early days, over unpaid royalties. In recent years, the label has had a strong comeback. One of the current major players is Drake and now he is upset, but not with Cash Money. Drake has beef with Universal Motown, as he prepares to put together his second album.
Even before he signed with Cash Money Records, Drake was becoming a favorite with the major radio stations. After he signed, Drake quickly became one of the most-played rappers in the game. Now, for some reason, Universal Motown has intervened and has been removing his songs from radio stations. Drake is highly upset about this and told the label to "stop fucking removing his songs." The Canadian sensation went on to say he makes his music for the people, not for Universal. Read more...

Hip Hop Vibe presents... "Battle for Supremacy"
Hip Hop Vibe, with the help of TBT Productions in conjunction with CMS Films, is moving into original programming with "Battle for Supremacy."
Shawty Lo breaks down G-Unit deal
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Because he signed with G-Unit Records, Shawty Lo has been all over the news. The Atlanta rapper experienced trouble when he attempted to release his sophomore album. Initially, his second album was supposed to be released in 2009. However, delays caused his album not to see the light of day and for him to leave his label.
After ending his feud with T.I., Shawty Lo has been out of the news, but teaming up with 50 Cent landed him right back in the headlines. In an odd turn of events, Shawty Lo said he had label prospects and, among them, G-Unit Records. Less than a month later, Shawty Lo revealed he was officially signed to G-Unit Records.
50 Cent confirmed this news, earlier this week. He said the deal is unlike other record deals. Instead of the traditional record deal, it covers the entire D4L label. Unlike traditional distribution deals, this deal handles all promotional and marketing. After recouping promotional expenses, G-Unit and D4L then enter a 50/50 deal.
Now, Shawty Lo is further explaining the deal he has in place with G-Unit Records. Shawty Lo said he signed with G-Unit because he did not want a 360 deal. Instead, Shawty Lo said he would much rather enter a profit sharing deal with another label. This, not the name, is why he decided to sign with G-Unit Records, instead of a major label. Shawty Lo went on to say a rival label could have offered him five times what 50 offered and he still would have signed with G-Unit because he feels that is what is best for him. Read more...

Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
After 50 Cent was dropped by Columbia Records, in 2000, he decided to go into business with himself. The first thing 50 Cent needed was his own record label. He teamed up with Sha Money XL and they made this happen. The early years of G-Unit, including the years with Interscope Records, consisted of Sha Money handling the business aspect.
However, in 2008, Sha Money XL decided it was time for him to leave the label he helped to build. It did not take long for the Queens native to land back on his feet. Quickly, Sha Money XL landed himself a job with Def Jam. Aside from working for Def Jam, he was the head of his own management company. In 2009, Sha Money tried to sign G-Unit to Def Jam.
Upon landing with Def Jam, Sha Money XL let it be known he had no issues with DJ Khaled and Rick Ross, at the time two of G-Unit's biggest rivals. Sha Money XL has stated, numerous times, he is a businessman and he has no time for beef. Recently, the acclaimed executive spoke on the relationship with former G-Unit member, Game. While still serving as Young Buck's manager, Sha Money XL said he would not mind working with Game again. In an odd turn of events, Game is actually more popular than G-Unit and 50 Cent.
Tony Yayo was unable to forgive Game for turning against G-Unit. Now, Yayo is upset at Sha Money XL for saying he could work with Game after Game said "fuck G-Unit." Tony Yayo questions how someone so close to G-Unit could work with someone who could say something like that. But, Sha Money XL has made it clear he is primarily about business. Read more...

Havoc advises Lil' Kim about G-Unit partnership
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Making power moves is nothing new to 50 Cent. The G-Unit leader recently pulled off a major move this month. Earlier in his career, 50 Cent had plans of launching G-Unit South. At the time, Young Buck was signed to G-Unit and a member of the group.
In 2008, Young Buck let his issues with G-Unit be known and a feud erupted between he and 50 Cent. For three years, Buck has been feuding with 50 Cent and G-Unit. The past three years, music wise, have been tough on 50 Cent. But, he has been putting things back together, here in 2011.
Recently, 50 Cent put G-Unit South back together when he signed Shawty Lo and D4L. Around the same time Shawty Lo announced he was with G-Unit, Lil' Kim said she may also sign with the label. For quite some time, Lil' Kim was one of the biggest foes G-Unit had. However, a chance meeting with 50 Cent helped her to forgive the crew.
Back in 2005, after The Game was ousted from G-Unit, 50 Cent made a couple of power moves. First, he signed veteran hip hop duo, Mobb Deep and then he signed M.O.P. These moves remained nothing more than moves, for the most part. After spending four years with G-Unit Records, Mobb Deep released one album and it sold poorly. M.O.P. did not release an album at all. Now, with a different distribution company behind them, G-Unit Records is expanding the roster.
Havoc knows what it is like to be a part of one of 50 Cent's power moves. The advice he gives to Lil' Kim, with her considering a G-Unit move, is for her to continue to make good music. Some artists try to make music that sounds like G-Unit's music when they sign to the label. But, the most important thing is to maintain the identity of they have had in years passed. Read more...

50 Cent talks signing Shawty Lo and D4L to G-Unit
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
On a daily basis, 50 Cent continues to prove he is one of the sharper businessmen in the hip hop industry. When he is not landing multi-million dollar deals, he is making big signings. During his most-recent down time, 50 Cent was able to sign Shawty Lo to G-Unit Records.
The Atlanta rapper said he would likely sign to G-Unit earlier in the month. Last week, Shawty Lo announced he was the newest member of G-Unit Records. A few days later, Shawty Lo said he signed a unique deal with the label, a deal for his D4L imprint.
Now, 50 Cent has broken his silence on the signing. He said he has had an idea for some time. The idea is called 50's new 50/50 and the first signing was Shawty Lo. 50 Cent said Shawty Lo's D4L label will now be powered by G-Unit Records.
Under the terms of this deal, G-Unit Records will handle all of D4L's promotion and, after recouping their investment in promotion, will split profits evenly with D4L Records. 50 Cent went on to say Shawty Lo signed the deal of a hustler and announced D4L was currently signing artists. The G-Unit general went on to encourage artists to sign with D4L Records. Read more...
Cuban Link explains why Joell Ortiz' "Big Pun Back" was disrespectful
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Rick Ross and Meek Mill created a trend when they released their single, "Tupac Back." The song was intended to be a tribute to the slain rapper. Tupac Shakur has an incredible legacy that continues to live, fifteen years after his death. Many other rappers began making tribute songs to deceased rappers.
Joell Ortiz decided to write a tribute to Big Pun, the rapper he looks up to the most. On recent lyrics, Joell Ortiz has said he hopes to fill the shoes of Big Pun. Ortiz took things to the next level when he released the "Big Pun Back" single. After the song was released, he received flack from Big Pun's family and Cuban Link.
In response, Joell Ortiz hit back at Big Pun's family and Cuban Link, saying he does not need permission to use anyone's name on HIS records. Cuban Link finally explained things and told Joell Ortiz he has no personal beef with him. He said he does not like the record because he appoints himself to the role Big Pun left at the time of his death. Cuban Link also did not like the song because Ortiz shouted out Terror Squad, who Cuban Link has had issues with for years. Finally, Cuban Link was upset that Joell Ortiz rapped about a heart attack, what ultimately led to Big Pun's death.
Because of this, Cuban Link says the song is disrespectful and he could not endorse it. Cuban Link called those his "three strikes." Read more...

Jimmy Henchman pleads 'Not Guilty' following arrest
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Full details have emerged surrounding yesterday's arrest of Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond. As the drug kingpin was leaving the W Hotel in New York City at Union Square, police surrounded him. Initially, Rosemond tried to run from the police, but was eventually arrested one block away.
The CEO of Czar Entertainment had been on the run for nearly a month after it was revealed he was the head of a cocaine ring. For nearly twenty years, Henchman had been a high-raking executive in the hip hop industry. His company manages Game, Akon, and Brandy, along with a number of other celebrities.
However, it was revealed all of his businesses were nothing more than a front for his cocaine distribution, which operated on both coasts of the United States. As the days turned into weeks, more information about the Rosemond criminal empire was released. Dexter Isaac, a former Rosemond employee, admitted he was the man who shot Tupac Shakur, in 1994, on Henchman's orders. This, along with the cocaine charges, was denied by Rosemond.
Information on Henchman was revealed by two high ranking members of his organization. Rosemond was brought into court in Brooklyn Federal Court, earlier today. Coming as a surprise to no one, who has followed this story, Henchman pleaded 'Not Guilty' to the drug charges.
